Praise for MiniMENTALs On-the-Go Coloring Book

“I received my copy of this book less than an hour ago and I’m very pleased with it! The images are a decent variety, with many abstract mandala designs but also several representational images like flowers, fish, an owl, and dragonflies. Her style reminds me pleasantly of Thaneeya McArdle, but she is by no means a copycat, I just think if you like Thaneeya’s books you might like this one.

I like the top bound feature and although I’m a righty, I’m sure lefties will appreciate it even more. There is a little space at the top of the page to jot down notes or test colors, so none of the coloring design gets lost in the binding. The paper is pretty thin, but the images are printed on one side only so you don’t have to worry about ruining the image on the other side if you use markers. The paper also doesn’t have a lot of tooth, so blending and shading with colored pencils might get a little tricky.

This book really does seem to have been designed by someone who understands what most colorists want and need from a book. I’ve seen a lot of travel sized coloring books that looked like they would be frustrating to actually color on the go, but this one looks like it will be a good travelling accessory. I hope that Sue creates more small books if this one sells well.”
