A Review of Lolliz Gel Pens for Coloring
Lolliz: A Popular Brand Among Gel Pen Fans
Lolliz brand gel pens have been popping up all over the coloring world. They are a favorite with gel pen enthusiasts because of the variety of color and the amazingly huge discounts Lolliz will often offer on Amazon. Recently they had a coupon circulating that made their 100-piece set only $6.00! Wowza! With those prices, no wonder this brand is skyrocketing in popularity which is why we decided to review them for you. We know the prices are great but we wanted to see how the quality compares to other top brands and if they were actually a decent pen for coloring.

Lolliz Gel Pen Ink Flow Consistency

One of the first things I look for when evaluating a set of gel pens is the consistency of the ink flow. I don’t want to be coloring and have the ink stop up on me frequently, forcing me to get out the scratch paper just to spend precious coloring moments scribbling the pen back into action. I want smooth and reliable ink flow.
A little stubbornness right out of the box with a new gel pen set is totally common and absolutely no big deal. I did have a little of that with the Lolliz. Once I started coloring with them, however, the ink came out in a nice, even flow and I felt like I had good control while coloring.
Another test these puppies had to pass for me was the BLOB test. I do not have the intestinal fortitude to deal with rogue blobs of ink mucking up my magnificent works of art. Okay, so maybe “magnificent” is a stretch but none-the-less, blobs are totally not cool, man. With the Lolliz, I didn’t have any blob issues and was pretty impressed with the result when I finished coloring.
All in all, the ink flow of these gel pens ranks right up there with the top gel pen brands.
Other Particulars
Now that we have established how well the ink in these pens flow, I want to touch on a couple other aspects they have to offer. I am reviewing the 70-piece set of Lolliz which has 70 unique colors divided into 5 different ink categories: standard, neon, pastel, glitter, and metallic. So many colors! And like I mentioned before, they even have a set of 100 unique colors. This is huge for me when choosing a brand of gel pen I want to spend my money on. The more colors I get to play with, the better! I want tons of options when coloring and this brand definitely delivers.
Having 70 colors to choose from will not mean a hill of beans if the colors are lackluster. All of the colors in this set are vibrant and eye catching. It’s like coloring with candy! Mmm…candy.
Another nice quality I appreciated about these gel pens is that they run out of ink at a fairly standard rate if not slightly slower. With all gel pens, you are going to go through ink faster that pretty much any other medium. Even with some of the big name brands in the gel pen market, you can find yourself maxing out a pen within a couple hours of steady coloring. I’m not a huge fan of having to restock my gel pen supplies every couple weeks or so. I want to get a lot of use out of the products I buy and the Lolliz hold their own pretty well.
Final Thoughts on Lolliz Gel Pens
After playing around with these gel pens and coloring with them I would have to say I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone in the market for a good quality gel pen that is also easy on the budget. The ink flow is smooth and consistent, the colors are fun and bold, and the cost, even without any discounts is very reasonable. I was super happy with the results I got when I was coloring and I’m confident I will get a lot of use out of this set. Lolliz brand gel pens earn an A+ in my book and I hope they bring you lots of joy as well.

I’ve not used the Lolliz gel pens yet. I’ve heard so much about them. I would love to get my own set one day and try them out. Great review Stephanie! Makes me want to get a set very soon once my finical is a little better and allows me to spend a little money on myself 🙂

I have been using LolliZ since last year when I bought a 2-pack of 48 deal. It was only late Spring this year when I started the 2nd set that had been sitting for months and I had no problems. Love them and still love them. When there was a fantastic deal on the new pack of 70, I sprung for them, and got the two sets for only $17. I won’t be ready to dig into them for awhile yet, and I have faith they will work great as usual.
