Four Spring Color Schemes to Inspire You
Color Schemes Set 5: Dive into Spring!
Once again, I am way overdue for bringing you a new set of color schemes for your coloring and design inspiration. This time, I am not highlighting a single photographer. Instead my inspiration comes primarily from Pixabay, a wonderful free photo site offering more than 600,000 copyright-free stock photos. I’ve also included one gorgeous flower photo from my friend Shelley who is a master gardener. She also writes about health, tech, faith and more on her blog Cranial Dump. So after you check out the color schemes, be sure to go check her site out! Be inspired, go forth and create!
Dive into Spring Color Inspiration
Aqua Marine
When I saw this photo of the vivid, iridescent-colored school of fish surrounded by the cool, marine underwater tones, I immediately knew I had to do a color scheme based on these colors. What will you create with this striking color scheme of aqua marine blues, turquoise, and greens?

Tea-Time Break
This tea-time vignette inspires a soft-feminine color scheme with lemon, yellow, pink, magenta, and pale muted greens. Isn’t it time to take a break and make something beautiful?

Serenity
This water lotus scene inspires feeling of calm and serenity, but it’s not boring by any means. Pale and bright pink with violet give a vivid pop of color against the dusky blue and pale purple-lavender reflected in the still water.

Ceneraria
This cheerful flower may be blue, but it won’t make you feel blue. I don’t think the name Cineraria is fitting, but my friend Shelley tells me it’s a type of daisy. The contrasting pale centers gradually blend into pure, bright blue- and purple-tipped petals. The dark green leaves and foliage form an understated background for these showy blooms.
