Color Schemes Set 4: Inspired by Bluishmuse
I have enjoyed some much needed R&R over the holidays, but this week I have been hard at work on my next project. For my first post of 2016, I thought it would be a good idea to resurrect the color schemes feature which I had let lapse during the holiday hustle-bustle.

Warming Up
Winter was a long time coming in Florida where I live, but we finally have had some cold and wet days. Perhaps that’s why this bonfire image inspired me to create a warm color scheme of flame yellows, orange, and red.

Faucet
The simplicity of this faucet photo struck me, and I thought the muted red-browns and blues made a lovely color palette.

Fountain Splash
The tile mosaic of this fountain snapshot gives a cheerful color scheme of bright blue, teal, and turquoise contrasting with yellow-brown tones.

Rainy Day Chill
This rainy day snapshot captures a melancholy mood with muted tones of green and blue-green. But the sun shining through the clouds keeps us from staying in a gloomy mood for too long.

Bluishmuse is the art of Neelima Polam, a self-taught artist/designer. Neelima’s degree is in computer science, but she has had an inclination towards creative thinking and experimenting throughout her life. She started doodling as a form of pastime, and from then on started Bluishmuse, the web home for her art and coloring pages. In addition to creating products for Zazzle, Society6 and RedBubble, she has published several coloring books under the book series THE ART OF NOW – COLOR ME.
