Introducing Product Reviews!
Hello everyone! Our lovely Sue Chastain has graciously offered to team up with me to start bringing product reviews your way! I thought this was a fabulous idea at the get-go because there is never such a thing as too much information when looking to find a product that is just right for your coloring needs.
Before I spend the money, I like to learn as much as I can about a certain item, read about other people’s experiences and then make my own informed decision. Reviews have aided my decision making dilemmas many times in the past and I hope we can provide the same for you!

Electric Pencil Sharpener First Impressions
My first impression after pulling the pencil sharpener out of its box was that it was a cute little sharpener that would be easy to tote around along with my other coloring supplies on trips away from home.
The whimsical Art-n-Fly logo is featured on both sides of the body and the shape of the sharpener gives the impression of sturdiness and durability.
When I set it on the table, the rubber pads on the bottom worked wonderfully to keep the sharpener stable and in place.
Using the Art-n-Fly Electric Pencil Sharpener
I noticed right away it has a top-loading design which I find handy because you can operate the sharpener without having to use two hands. It takes four AA batteries, which I seem to somehow always have on hand and once I got those installed I grabbed as many pencil types as I could and set to work like a madwoman! Well, maybe it wasn’t quite so dramatic but I put the sharpener to the test!
The sharpener exceeded my expectations in that it didn’t eat up my pencils super fast and brought a nice, fine point to every pencil I sharpened. None of the pencils broke or chipped and it worked perfectly well on both expensive colored pencils like Prismacolor Premiers, and on the more budget friendly brands like Crayola, and CraZart. It even worked beautifully on the triangular shaped barrels of my Staedtler Ergo Soft pencils. I also threw in a few old junk pencils I had laying around and the results were consistent across the board. Very nice, super fine tips that I would venture to say could reach into the tiniest of crevices.

The shavings receptacle is very easy to remove and the shavings just plop right out without a hassle leaving no messy clean up.
Art-n-Fly Electric Pencil Sharpener Summary
I was extremely satisfied with the look, feel, and performance of the Art-n-Fly Electric Pencil Sharpener. I would recommend this sharpener to anyone that doesn’t want to hassle with the slower, manual sharpeners but also doesn’t want a pencil-eating monster to deal with. Anyone that wants a killer point on their pencils will be pleased because this little guy delivers.
The only thing I would like to see for this sharpener–and this is for purely aesthetic reasons–is more color options. More colors are definitely not a necessity but it might be fun having more options to choose from, though this sharpener still looks mighty stylish rocking the classic black. The packaging indicates more colors may be available so be sure to keep an eye out!

Had never considered buying an electric pencil sharpener until this review, but will consider buying this one. Very well written with lots of examples of the type of pencils this will successfully sharpen.

Great review! The only other question I have is pricewise. Those pencils look extremely sharp, thanks for actually showing them.
Stephanie says
Hi Sandy! The current price of this pencil sharpener is $18.99 on Amazon. It’s a slight investment but fairly average for electric sharpeners sold through Amazon and well worth it. Thanks for reading the review! 🙂
